Trip advice to Delhi

This blog topic is not about the trip experience but very important advice about what to do and what not to do when your trip to North India.

  • Plan your trip to Limited place may be one or two either (Delhi or Agra) or (Manali or Shimla), choice of place is yours. This advice only for newly married honeymoon couple, if couple plans for more places then you honeymoon trip will be mostly spent on car (Innova) rather than places.
  • Budgeted Trippers, book one way tickets on Flight. I prefer when we return back to home. We won’t have much energy as like when we start the trip.
  • In Delhi – Know which day is Banth for Bazaars, so that plan that day for Sight seeing.
  • In Delhi – Never have your trip around Republic day and Independence day , For sure you will miss these places (Red Fort and India Gate)
  • Never carry too much of luggage when your visit North India. You can shop anything for much cheaper cost. Better carry an empty baggage or you can also buy a new Trolley baggage there.
  • In Delhi Bazaar Bargain like anything, If Something price tagged for Rs. 1000 then ask for Rs. 100 then leave the place. If the shopkeeper follows and asks for 200 then the ball is in your court. Bargain again to the core minimum. If he doesn’t follow you then leave it and try it in some other shop.
  • Don’t spend too much money on Hotels and Food. You will get good decent Hotel for Rs.1000 on KoralBogh, Delhi. Food is quite better to have it on road side shop. Best to have North Indian Items like Pulka, Parantha, Sabbji.
  • Plan a day for Agra (Tajmahal & redfort).

You can buy very good shoes here. But finding the exact leather factory is difficult. Never trust tourist agents and driver. He will take you to shop where he can get commission. So try to find the leather shoes factory yourself.
  •  Last but not least and very important advice is, know little bit of Hindi. You can’t survey just by knowing English alone. No one will speak as well reply for your English questions. Some may insult you for not knowing the National Language. (*)

There is lot to advice but these is enough to person like me.
